Dr. Richard Leger is a general ophthalmologist, originally from New Brunswick.
He completed his medical degree at the University de Sherbrooke, followed by a residency program in Ophthalmology at the Universite de Montreal.

He completed his medical degree at the University de Sherbrooke, followed by a residency program in Ophthalmology at the Universite de Montreal.

Dr. Leger has been practicing mostly adult general ophthalmology since 1997; working in different parts of the country, but first and foremost at the George Dumont Hospital in Moncton, NB where he was chief of the Ophthalmology department.
Dr. Legers’ practice consisted of general comprehensive ophthalmology, including diabetic screening as well as Glaucoma diagnosis, treatment and care.
Dr. Leger also has extensive experience in Cataract and Refractive Surgery; overseeing 9 clinics as the Regional Medical Director in private facilities.

Dr. Leger and his family moved to Alberta 12 years ago. Their desire to experience the great outdoors and lifestyle offered by the Rockies brought them to the west. Together with his family, Dr. Leger enjoys skiing regularly during the winter and mountain biking and hiking in the summer.
